  This is a GREAT organization! Very friendly and helpful staff who always appear to have my best interest at heart. I first went in to the Salt Lake City Scientology Mission take a course on improving my communication skills. Even while taking the course I noticed my work and personal relationships improving because of my improved abilities. I have since taken half a dozen courses and received other invaluable services. I'm so grateful this organization exists and that I was lucky enough to be introduced to them at a young age (when I was 21)!! My life is better because of the knowledge I've gained and the ability to apply the very valuable tools they've shared with me to my interactions every day. If you have a desire to improve your life, I highly recommend visiting this organization or at least giving them a call.

  Love this place. So many answers. A lot of great courses like "Overcoming Ups and Downs in Life" and "How to Get Motivated", these are awesome. The book "Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health" is such a good book too that you can pick up here.

  From what I came to understand, Scientology is more like Buddhism than Christianity in that both Buddhists and Scientologists consider that people are spiritual beings who have lived before this life and will continue to be reborn until they reach very high levels of enlightenment. Where as we all know Christians believe you go through golden gates to heaven or burn in hell and that's it.
  
  The former seems more plausible to me than the later at this point.
  
  I was also told the word Scientology literally means the study of knowing or knowing how to know, so I guess it is the Church of Knowing How to Know, I mean it is apparently not called the Church of L Ron Hubbard for a reason.
  
  Also asked about "aliens" as this is something a lot of people ridicule Scientology about.
  
  What I found was most all super intelligent scientists in the world believe that in a universe with at least one hundred billion galaxies in it there are probably a lot of other beings living on other planets out there... so I guess these scientists and anyone one who thinks this "believes in Aliens" So Scientologists are in good company on that point.
  
  And taking off this idea of past lives, I later thought if you believe you have lived before then it stands to follow that you could have had past lives in other parts of the universe ! Makes sense.
  
  All I know at this point is Scientology seems to be a new form of Buddhism, It's definitely a more intellectual approach to religion in that they offer tons of courses on everything imaginable and even have processes that you can apply that will speed your path to "enlightenment" or understanding, if that is your goal.
  
  For me I decided to read some books.
  
  Check it out for yourself, they did not bite me when I went in and they did not stop me from leaving either. There were very friendly actually.

  Go see for yourself, you can spread the rumors you heard or learn what's really going on. You'll find out that there are many areas in life that Scientology can help you with.

  Life changing! I personally study Dianetics and Scientology at this location and I'm very grateful for the existence of this mission. The staff members are very helpful and sincere. I highly recommend any indivividual to get more information about the services they offer here.
